Dec 4-6th: Beyond Lyme and Other Chronic Illnesses: Reclaiming our Health and Well-Being
Kripalu, Lenox, MA directions
I will be presenting a three day workshop on Lyme disease at Kripalu, Friday through Sunday, December 4th-6th, in Lenox, Massachusetts. This workshop is for patients and health care professionals wanting to better understand theclinical manifestations of Lyme disease and co-infections, while getting the most up to date diagnostic and treatment regimens. There will be an overview of the 16 point MSIDS model with classical and integrative treatment protocols and natural therapies discussed in detail. This will include new exciting information on "persister protocols" that I am using to help resistant patients in my practice, which is based on new Johns Hopkins research (and looks very promising!) Other important research that will be discussed includes the role of bacteria, viruses, toxins and diet in autoimmune disease (which often overlaps Lyme disease), the role of the microbiome and gut bacteria in varied illnesses (including diabetes, obesity, eating disorders, depression and resistant allergies), how infections and environmental toxins are affecting different chronic diseases, including Lyme, MS, Autism, ADHD, and Alzheimer's and how to reduce our risks, new research on sexual and maternal transmission of tick-borne diseases, new information on prevention and blood markers to evaluate the risks and benefits of hormone replacement therapies in patients with Lyme and tick-borne disorders, as well as innovative research on how we can affect the epigenetics of the our body and possibly reduce future risks of illness. My wife Lee will be joining me in teaching simple accessible meditation techniques before and after the question and answer sessions. I hope to see you there! Sept. 12-13th: Lyme Conference 2015
Crown Plaza Antwerpen, Belgium map
Given the high prevalence of Lyme disease and the difficulties in the diagnosis and treatment of this tick-borne disorder, we thought the time was right for a Belgian conference to target a Belgian, European and international audience of medical professionals. We aim to offer educational presentations on the fundamentals of Lyme disease and co-infections, the epidemiology of tick-borne disease, the persistence of the infection and related pathologies. We will address classical and integrative treatment plans, supportive measures and nutritional options to tackle Lyme and related dysfunctions, as well as pointers for lab diagnosis and testing. An interesting mix of highly esteemed international experts and excellent local speakers has been provided to present these topics.
Congresswoman Elise M. Stefanik welcomes speakers in a forward thinking discussion on new research in pursuit of solutions to Lyme disease.
